Maria & Michael E-Session

It was such an honor to be able to do my roommate's engagement pictures. I've posted pictures of them before, but those were just impromptu pictures that I took because I couldn't resist; but of course they wanted official engagement pictures too. And I loved taking them. It was a crazy semester for all of us, but we finally found a weekend when all three of us were able to sneak away to Greenville for pictures. We started off at Falls Park (where they got engaged) and then just wandered around downtown until and ended at Luna Rosa--the amazing Gelato shop where they actually went the night Michael proposed.

This couple is seriously so much fun! They laughed and played and were so sweet the whole time I was with them. I love it when couples are so clearly in love..it makes my job so fun. And on top of that they're photogenic. I had a blast taking their pictures and I can't for their wedding! Shout out to my mom again for second shooting again...she's awesome!

Kate & Jeff Engagement Session

Ok, I admit it... my final semester of undergraduate college got to me and I neglected blogging and my Sunday Shoots. Well, now I've got a lot of catching up to do. Get ready for daily blog posts!

To start things off are a few photos from Kate & Jeff's fun beach engagement session. We went to the end of Sullivan Island and started outside Fort Moultrie and then made our way down to the sand and water. Shout out to my mom for second shooting with me!

Sunday Shoot

I was bad and didn't do a Sunday Shoot for the last two Sundays. I'm getting back on track though. I brought a bunch of shoes back to my dorm from home to see any of them would go with my bridesmaid dress for my roommate's wedding in May. After I finished showing them to her, they ended up in a pile on the floor. Something about my pretty shoes all tossed together seemed attractive to me, so I took pictures of them instead of putting them away... I'l do that later. ;-)

Sunday Shoot

Well, I sprained my ankle on Friday afternoon, so I haven't been able to go anywhere. I've been spending a little too much time in my dorm room for my liking, but for my Sunday Shoot I focused on something in my room that makes me happy. Well two things really, my Willow Tree collection and books.

I have to be honest, I actually did this Sunday Shoot on Saturday. I did my roommate and her fiance's engagement pictures yesterday in Greenville and got this shot of at Falls Park. I really love this tree, but I have no idea what it is. Does anyone know?

Sunday Shoot

Today's photo came from Yonges Island, SC. I was getting some video and still shots of Christ St. Paul's Episcopal Parish for a project for my video class and went across the street to get some shots of their old church building. I love the mission look of the church and mossy trees around it. I got over there at the perfect time with this sunlight coming gorgeously through the mossy branches.

So, this is really late. But I promise I took the pictures on Sunday. They're from Pendleton, which reminded me of Abbeville (which reminds me of Bartow). I just love how quaint it is!

So I went to a really fun location for my Sunday Shoot, but I got back late, so I'm going to wait until Monday to post them. I know I'm slacking off. Don't worry, it won't become a habit.

So this subject may seem simple, but it actually includes some of my favorite things: yellow, pink, and teal; a flower; ribbons; random blueberry pop bottle from Maine; damask curtains; and sunlight. Maria (not my roommate) sings about her favorite things, and I take pictures of mine. :)

So I'm cutting it close, but I'm still getting my Sunday Shoot in. My roommate is student teaching this semester. Let me add that she is such a good teacher, always finding fun and creative ways to present material and engage her class. She was cutting out letters to spell the names of her students, so I snapped some shots of the letters arranged and scattered on her bed. A writer drawn to take pictures of letter... go figure.
